HOWELL's My Dam cycle ride

Story

Hi everyone, thanks for visiting my page in support of my recent foray into madness. I recently lost my Uncle Jonathan Evans who got diagnosed with lymphatic cancer and died on the 27th of March earlier this year. It came as a shock to all those that knew him as he was not only a loving husband and caring father but also a pillar of the Penarth community. He was one of the kindest, smartest and happiest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.

That is the reason I have chosen to do this cycle ride in support of the Lymphoma Association.

The cycle ride itself is going to start in Amsterdam at the beginning of August and (hopefully) end in Marseilles a few weeks later. Google maps reckons it is roughly 1,293 km from start to finish. For those of you reading this that know me I think we can all agree that with my quite honestly poor sense of direction may increase this figure (however I will aim to keep it under the 2,000 km mark). I am not entirely sure of how long this will take but I intend to try and do it within 3 weeks.

This is as far as my planning has got currently but I shall keep updating the page as and when I figure out any new details.

Please give generously and please share my page to spread the world.

We are the only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting people affected by lymphoma.Every 28 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with lymphatic cancer. You can help make sure that everyone coping with a diagnosis gets the best possible information and support, treatment and care. With your help we can be there for everyone who needs us. We all have the potential to make a difference, there are so many opportunities for you to get involved and help support people affected by lymphatic cancer. Thank you.
